What is Blujay?
I asked my friend who sells on Blujay, how it works, does stuff sell etc. and here is her "quick and dirty" Guide to Blujay.com . She sells on multiple sites - "My biggest fear is that one of these site will close down or I will mysteriously disappear again. I manually list all of my items on blujay and ecrater, some also manually listed on amazon and buysellcommunity."
Blujay, at one time brought in tons of sales - way more than Ioffer. Then it dropped off. But in the last couple of months, they've tweaked a few things: there are no more expiration dates (just like ecrater), items are showing up at the top of Google search, etc.
The site is very user-friendly. There is NO FEEDBACK, so you need to put a blurb in there about where the buyer can read about you for buyer confidence. There are no fees EVER, just like ecrater. Inquiries and sales have picked up a tad since the revamp.
Your store items are picked up on the www, free!
Between the two (Ecrater and blujay), I've prospered much more than on Ecrater. Not sure why. The site is cleaner, there is feedback, not sure. It does have higher ranking on PSU, therefore is attracting more buyers and sellers.
If you need another site to play with, maybe for certain items, give blujay a try. I feel very comfortable knowing that I have identical stores should one fall through. Another tip is when listing, make the titles a bit different. Two of the same on Google search will make one drop out of site.
And so, if you're looking for another home? Check out http://http://www.blujay.com/

How do you find Happiness?
We are a varied group here of online entrepreneurs that include both full time and part time businesses. We have become like family and share our daily DSR's of both life and business and help each other any way we can. We all have both good and bad days due to health, business and just life in general like most of the population on any given day.
I keep hearing on the news things are getting better but the more people I talk to the more I think they must be making this up. It is not easy being happy when we have worries about life and business issues on a daily basis.
What makes you happy is a question only each of us can answer but many things can bring a smile to our faces. That sharing of a smile is often the beginning of feeling happier if only for a moment.
As we share our daily DSR's here there is often things to smile about even if it will not help with all the big problems in life. We share a successful auction that brings good money, we share some jokes or sayings to bring a smile to our faces and yes we share the rough times too.
We each need to find our own happiness but having a wonderful, caring family to share both the good and the bad with gives us all a little bit of happiness in our day.
How do you find happiness in your day?

Bonanzle is the Place To Be
Are you an Ebay seller that is deciding what you are doing with your Ebay store ? Are you a smaller seller that doesn't want to pay the fees? Are you a business looking for alternatives to Ebay then Bonanzle is the place to be.
Bonanzle is a great site with easy listings, numerous payment options, discussions boards and overall a great selling and buying experience. They are adding new user friendly features all the time and the sense of community is amazing. You will find discussion boards to help and promote each other and there is very little negative posts unlike other places.
The owners are amazingly quick to deal with any issues and answer email very fast when an issue arises.
One of the best things is how quick and easy it is to list on Bonanzle. They have a one page form for title, category, pictures and in only a few minutes you can have a listing up and ready for sale and they send your items to Google regularly. You can find more information on how to list on this blog.
There are also 3 ways to become a member one is free and two paid memberships with advantages listed on the site.
I think every online seller will need to take a hard look at their numbers, their sales, their fees and what and where is the best place to sell their items. There really is no right answer for this but it is very important you look at your business and your numbers and sell on the places that are right for you.
If you don't already sell on Bonanzle check it out you will be very happy you did.

Rant about buyers; eBay ones in particular!
Yep...I'm complaining about you BUYERS! Why would I complain about BUYERS???? That's my business, right? I mean, if it wasn't for you buyers, I'd have no business...right?
Well, I'm here to tell you a few home truths about selling online; especially eBay. I'm talking to and about buyers in particular. Why? OK, you asked!
The number one gripe I, and any other red blooded seller online have, is you do not read! Please, please, PLEASE!!!!! Read the whole, entire page...auction, advertisement; I don't care if it's for underwear...READ it!
Why? Soooo glad you asked! Because EVERYTHING you need to know about this item is IN THERE!! Need it sent overnight? Read the listing. Do you see where it says Shipping? Hmmmm! I'll just bet it tells you whether the seller can send it overnight. Need a size 60? Well, if you read the description, I bet ya it'll tell you what size(s) they have to offer.
Why am I ranting about reading the listing? Have you ever bought something and found out afterword that the seller can't send to Cambodia? BUT WHY? You scream in an email! I saw international...the problem was you did not read it ALL!
If you had read the listing, you would know if Aunt Myrtle could use it. If you had read the listing, you would have saw that the item had free shipping in the USA and Canada...not Great Britain!
Speaking of shipping and buyers: have YOU mailed any packages lately? What did it cost YOU?
My point is, we do not make the postal rules or set their prices...we just follow them. If it says 6.95 to go to Timbuktu...we'll be charging 6.95... And, when we state that we send out our packages within 24 hours of payment, that means we ship by then, IT DOES NOT MEAN you get it in 24 hours! I have heard so many folks complain about getting dinged on their5 stars just because their buyer was mad because their package was "late". What they call late is the Post Office's fault, not ours...the shipping star is for our time of shipping. Like mine, I say 5 business days. So, if I send it the day you bought it, but it does not get to you for 10 days? I should get my star! Why? Well, because I shipped well within my stated date. Go by the date it was taken to the PO...
This leads me to fees...now, folks, I hate to tell you this, but we are a BUSINESS! Yes, a real, honest to goodness BUSINESS...and we have overhead...just like any business. We have the typical sellers fees, (which, like everything else, has gone up), and then we have the costs incurred by buying, housing, packaging; (peanuts, bubble wrap, cotton candy...oops, paper, envelopes, note cards), sometimes insuring.
At times we need an item to be inspected, others need to be appraised. There are the fees for the Internet, electric, gasoline ( what, you think we walk the mile to the PO?), bookkeeping, helpers, listing on all venues...I could go on and on...
My point is this: I have heard buyers lamenting we are ripping them off. These folks accuse us sellers all the time of upping our shipping costs. You accuse us of leading you astray in our ads/listings. But, if you would just sit down and read the listing completely, you might see that the shipping fee you see at the top of the listing might be for 2 day or overnight. Not to mention, you can send us a question about any listing we have.
My last, and final point, is WE are human beings. With thoughts, feelings, and needs, just like you. We make mistakes, just like you. We get sick, just like you. So, would you want someone to judge you without them having all the info first? Then please, do not judge us!
I have read that people are now considering eBay sellers as the scum of the earth...nothing could be farther from the TRUTH! I know, I, and a lot of my friends, sell on eBay, or have. We are not scum, we are hard working human beings with a business that most of you take for granted!
Now, if you want to meet some very nice eBay folks, and sellers in general, stop by my blog tomorrow. Why? Because tomorrow, March 23, 2009, I will begin a week long set of interviews of sellers online. http://jimmyandmarshell.blogspot.com/
Come on, are you scared? The worst part is over! I'm done ranting!:>) I'll bet you you'll meet some great folks. I have...

The names have been changed to protect the guilty...
Shelmar and Mijmy where at it again! She wanted a booth at Bonanzle, but he wanted to stay on eBay. Shelmar tried hard to get him to understand they can do both, but, no! He has to be MALE!
Shelmar did it anyway. "He never comes near the computer anymore, he'll never know", she told her son, Weldone. Weldone is real good at finding good things to sell.
Well wouldn't you know it, the truck broke down and the van needed new rotors and brakes. Mijmy was upset, because there isn't much money...so he thought! BUT, remember? Shelmar went to Bonanzle, and stayed on eBay. She had made enough money to buy the parts to fix them both!
Mijmy was kind of mad because she did not tell him the truth, but he was also happy that he could get both vehicles fixed. So it all worked out in the end. Just goes to show you, you can make anything work if you try.
It's the trying part that's hard...sometimes you have to take a risk, and risks are hard. That's why Shelmar decided to do Bonanzle...it was a good risk. It's free to list until something sells. And it's so easy to use, for both the seller and the buyer.

The NAMES have been changed to protect the innocent......
DW (darling wife) retired on the witching day of Halloween 2008 and now is home and under foot. House-husband, now needs a vacation away from DW. Altho the Sewer pipe isn't needed as of yet, one never knows whether it's needed down the road. All pension paperwork was completed on Thursday the 6th so that is forth coming......
Darling Sister "Wilbur" still hasn't gone to see DD (Darling Dad) in the home for Fire Fighting. DD has been there since May 16th, 2008. By my calculations, that is almost 6 months. Wilbur hasn't called me in two months, but I know she is still kicking, so to speak.
I sent in my "Vona" order last nite so that should be here next week. Sales are down there too, as are the ones on "Baye". (use pig latin - the names have been changed to protect the innocent)>
